Big news out of the NBA this week as free agency kicked off.

Most importantly, I was right…again!

Also, late Monday night Mo Williams agreed to re-join LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

This is hilarious for a lot of reasons, not the least of which is the avalanche of tweets you all dug up from five years ago (seriously, who does this?).

Williams’ return also got me thinking about the other former Cavaliers GM LeBron should force owner Dan Gilbert into signing:

Delonte West –

Let’s get the obvious one out of the way.

If LeBron is really trying to mend fences, West has to get a call. Bringing West back might simultaneously break #BlackTwitter, #NBATwitter, and #TheActualTwitter all at once.

Also, just mentioning this gives me an excuse to post this video (Warning: n-words aplenty…headphones if you’re at work):

Hot sauce in my baaaaaaaaaaaag…

Darius Miles –

But ONLY if he explains what that “forehead-fist-bump” thing was about.

Ira Newble –

To prove that LeBron can drag literally anyone who has ever played in the NBA to the Finals.

According to basketball-reference.com, the most comprehensive basketball stats site on the internet, Newble’s career compares most favorably to Mark Alarie…

Yeah…

Former All-Star Chris Gatling –

Be honest, you had no idea he was an All-Star OR a Cavalier at one point.

The only reason I know is because I grew up in Virginia Beach (757!!), right around the corner from where Gatling went to college.

I’ll Paypal you a dollar if you can name that college.

Larry Hughes –

So we can get http://heylarryhughespleasestoptakingsomanybadshots.com back! One of the great sites of all time. The commitment to hating is positively Silky Johnson-esque.

Andrew Wiggins –

I mean, he’s probably regretting that about now, right?

There’s the backup five, plus a “sixth” man GM LeBron should target. Who would you love to see in Cleveland next season…former Cav or not?
